GDPR Compliance
ScreenshotCenter is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This page explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Data Controller
ScreenshotCenter acts as the data controller for personal data collected through our website and services. We determine the purposes and means of processing your personal data.
Data We Collect
We collect: account information (email, name), billing data (processed by Stripe), usage data (API calls, screenshots), and technical data (IP address, browser type). We do not store the content of screenshots captured through our API beyond the retention period configured by each customer.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data based on: (1) contract performance — to provide our screenshot API service, (2) legitimate interest — to improve our service and ensure security, (3) consent — for marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time, and (4) legal obligations — for billing and tax compliance.
Your Rights Under GDPR
You have the right to: access your personal data, rectify inaccurate data, erase your data ("right to be forgotten"), restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@screenshotcenter.com.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and business purposes. Screenshot data is retained according to your plan settings. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
